Last year’s first ever LGBT History Month in Bradford was an experiment for the city, and a very successful one at that. Together we demonstrated that we can come together to produce a range of fantastic events that showcase Bradford as a whole, as well as our independent and thriving LGBT community.

With more than 100 events throughout February, Bradford was one of the most active cities in the UK to celebrate LGBT History Month, and we’re incredibly proud to have made such an impact in our first year.

The month went so well that we’ve decided to do it all again in 2018. We’re inviting organisations, individuals, venues and anyone else who wants to be part of the programme to get in touch with your ideas.

This year, Bradford-based arts organisation The Brick Box will be joining Bradford Council in producing a programme of happenings to celebrate Bradford’s LGBT past and present.

As ever, anyone and everyone in Bradford will be invited to join in. This is about showing support for the LGBT community and recognising all the things Bradford does well.

If you’d like to take part, or have an idea to discuss, get in touch with us before 10th January 2018. Any ideas submitted after this date will be discussed on a case by case basis.

See you in February!
